In late 2004, songwriter Clint Hoagland stumbled upon the Bachelor Machines, forgotten, in a basement in a remote part of Lansing, Michigan. Mr Hoagland blew the dust off their screens, connected them back up, and they sprung back into life. The Bachelor Machines - Bachelor #1 and Bachelor #2 - requested audio and visual information input in the form of 12" LPs, VHS tapes and DVDs, which their human assistant provides them. They take that raw input, process it using operations known only to themselves, and then they provide their assistant with audio messages.
Note from Mr Hoagland: Bachelor #2 asked me to get some horror DVDs for Bachelor #1, which I did. It's interesting that they would choose dance music based on horror movies for their first big communication, don't know what that's about.

Nice to listen to!
This is nearly BRILLIANT ... the final track spoils it a tad by being "out of focus" from the the rest of the EP (the style is different - ok - but I think it's the production that is the main prob). No such probs with the rest of the EP which is solid and smooth. This is the kinda stuff I really dig ... great beats, cool deep basslines and blippy-bloppy synths and fx. The middle 3 trax remind me of General Midi and are deffo some of the best tunes I have heard so far this year.
